Electricians will be rushing out to purchase Aico's Ei 2110 multi-sensor smoke alarm after the device scooped the Best New Product prize at the SELECT Electrotechnical Awards.
SELECT is the trade association for Scotland's electrotechnical industry, and 360 of the industry's biggest hitters gathered at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow for this year's ceremony.
David Wright, head of external affairs at SELECT, hosted the event which was backed by two new sponsors - Metrel and Vaillant.
Mr Wright, said: "The aim of SELECT is to champion the Scottish electrical industry, to promote best-practice and to raise the standards and quality of electrical contracting throughout Scotland.
"In a nutshell that is what this evening's awards are all about - to identify and highlight examples of best-practice so that we can continue to raise the bar on behalf of our industry and our customers."
The evening has quickly established itself as the blue ribbon event in the industry's calendar, and this year's programme of entertainment included an incredible indoor falconry display.
